Contract win to Stay in Wales.

An employment agency has tapped into a rich source of business and has thanked support provided by Business Wales.
Award-winning North Wales Recruitment agency Supertemps won a contract to supply specialist refuse employees to a local authority after getting support from the Welsh Government’s free business support service.
The Colwyn Bay and Bangor-based agency won the contract after undergoing a tendering process through to Sell2Wales website.
Sell2Wales lists opportunities for companies to provide goods and services to the public sector in Wales, and Business Wales regularly offers advice to enterprises looking to access them.
Steve Griffiths, Operations Director for Supertemps, said the advice from Business Wales’ tendering advisor Berwyn Jones played a key role in winning the new contract.
Steve said: “The tendering process is different to the usual work we supply, which is why we contacted Business Wales. We’re well established in the market, having been around for 33 years, but this type of work is something we’ve not been involved in before because of the specific tendering process.”
“It was really satisfying to win the contract, as we fought off competition from some of the UK’s biggest recruitment agencies. That’s important as it keeps the value of the contract within North Wales.”
Tendering advisor Berwyn Jones said he regularly helps Welsh businesses access new work through the Sell2Wales portal. Berwyn said: “I regularly meet with businesses looking to bring their skills and services to the public sector. Sell2Wales is a fantastic resource for all manner of businesses across Wales, but it can be intimidating going through the rigours of a tendering process.”
“Even well established businesses like Supertemps look for guidance from time to time, and that’s precisely where Sell2Wales can help.”
