Supertemps’ Vicki Armstrong-Smith and her son Joshua joined more than 3,000 other walkers supporting the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk in Delamere Forest on Saturday 24th September 2016.
Vicki’s mother, Janet, died due to Alzheimer’s disease in November 2015 and so they walked in her memory as well as to help raise funds to support the Society and its important work.

“It was wonderful to see so many people walking in memory of loved ones and for such a good cause. And, I am extremely grateful to all those lovely people who sponsored Josh and I,” said Vicki. “By 2025 it is thought that there will be 1 million people with dementia in the UK, which is a very sobering thought.
Thankfully organisations like the Alzheimer’s Society are working hard to raise awareness and drive forward research.”

Thanks to events like these, those at the Alzheimers Society are able to gather funds and raise awareness of the effects of dementia and continue supporting the much needed research for those affected.
