National Living Wage Increase April 2023

National Living Wage set to increase on 1st April

With the National Living wage set to increase from 1st April 2023 employers are urged to review payrates and ensure compliance.

The Government has announced a 9.7% increase for those aged 23 and over to £10.42 per hour. The rates which will apply from 1st April are as follows:

  • 23 years and over – £10.42
  • 21 – 22 years old – £10.18
  • 18 – 20 years old – £7.49
  • 16 – 17 years old – £5.28
  • Apprentice Rate – £5.28
